Nope. People DON’T Watch Commercials.

So why do we keep doing them?

We always want selling too much, instead of branding.

But when branding is well made, you don’t have to find customers anymore because customers come to you without “doing anything.”

Most of the your clothes have been bought not because of commercials, but because of branding.

Most of the knowledge you have have been learnt not because of commercials, but because of branding.

Most of the shows, writers, speakers, influencers, entrepreneurs, creators you are following right now don’t came from commercials, but because of branding.

But it didn’t happen overnight. It took several months or even years of content, of showing up, of giving away, of teaching you before you even decide to trust them and potentially invest your money and/or your time for them.

Why paying influencers instead of ads is better? Because people who are following influencers trust them and are more likely to check out what you have to offer to them.

Why giving away free advices to the world is better than running shitty Facebook ads on the long-term? Because you build trust and show what you have to offer to the world day after day.

Seriously, when was the last time you really cared about a Facebook Ad, a YouTube Ad, a Snapchat Ad, a TV Commercial, a Radio Ad?

When was the last time you saw a Commercial and instantly picked your phone to check out what was offering the company?

For me, never.

Because I always skip the ads, or block them, or ignore them, or mute them.

What I really want is the content after them, not them.

What I want is the brand that is giving me awesome knowledge, or something that I desire. I don’t care about the commercial.

Plus I know that they’re tracking me via my IP adress so I want even less to give them what they want.

You see, most people want to win in the short-term life while doing the minimum efforts they’ve ever made in the entire life because they think it’s easy.

They truly think that they will successful build a billion dollars company with the first idea that came out of their mind.

No. Sorry.

But it’s not like that in the real world.

What you need to do right now is to do branding, to give, to help, to show respect, to understand people, to impact them.

And it will never happen through 1 article, 1 video, 1 podcast, 1 website. It will take repetition, hard work, determination, passion, commitment, and so many other qualities that you will have to develop through failures and time.

Build relationships with the people. Don’t try to sell them your book, your course, or to put them into your email list.

Build true and meaningful relationships, because this is what they’re looking for. And as a customer this is also what you’re looking for.

What’s the best way to brand? Through social media.

I know some people can’t deal with social media but this is how the world is actually working right now.

Be present on every platform and provide a huge amount of value everyday depenging on each one.

Because the type of people who are using Facebook are not the same who are using Snapchat and those who are Snapchat are not the same who are using LinkedIn, and those who… (you get the point.)

Adapt yourself with the current market.

Because the world is going to be what it’s going to be with or without you no matter what you think about it.

So if you want real success, if you want to climb, if you want to inspire the entire world. You will need to adapt yourself with the world you’re living in.
